菓子屋ボンボニエール　bonbonniere

旧い、軽量鉄骨造の倉庫をリノベーションしお菓子屋さんのための空間を作った。外部の雰囲気のあるタイル壁と、赤い防錆塗装が施された重たい鉄扉をそのままにし、鉄扉を開け放った部分から内部が垣間見える。

内部はポップな外部とは違い、白とグレーの空間。鉄骨階段や手摺、床材など現代においても色あせない魅力を持った既存の材料は生かし、新設の厨房や喫茶スペースを設えた。

今回は家具もすべて製作した。ラウンジチェアは国産のナラと近年良い品物が揃わなくなりつつある東南アジアの籐を使用しており、「什」と名付けたシリーズのチェアのうち、ラウンジチェアを新たにデザインし製作した。

We renovated an old, lightweight steel-frame warehouse to create a space for a confectionery shop. The original exterior—featuring atmospheric tiled walls and a heavy iron door coated in red anti-rust paint—was preserved, allowing a glimpse into the interior through the open doorway.

In contrast to the playful and vibrant facade, the interior is defined by a calm palette of white and gray. Existing elements such as the steel staircase, handrails, and flooring were retained, showcasing their timeless charm, while a new kitchen and café area were thoughtfully incorporated into the space.

All of the furniture was custom-designed and crafted for this project. The lounge chair, in particular, was made using domestically sourced oak and rattan from Southeast Asia, a material that has become increasingly difficult to find in good quality in recent years. It is a new addition to our original furniture line called “Ju,” expanding the series with a fresh design.
